Shirley Ann Larsen

Shirley A. Costa Larsen, 65, of Forest Park, Middletown, RI, died on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Newport Hospital.She was the longtime companion of Joseph Moniz, Jr. of Middletown, RI.Born in Newport, RI on July 4, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Jeanette Manchester Costa.A 1962 graduate of Rogers High School, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and camping. In addition to her companion, she is survived by three daughters, Charlene Aukerman and her husband, Theo, of Tennessee, Shirley Echevarria and Michelle Catalan, both of Middletown, RI; a brother, Charles W. Costa, Jr. of Newport, RI; a sister, Charlotte Rich and her husband, Kenneth R., of Middletown, RI; four grandchildren, Alexander and Hayden Aukerman, Antonio Echevarria and Jamie Noel Catalan; a great-grandchild, Kayden Echevarria; and several nieces and nephews.Her funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11 am in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 9-11 am in the funeral home prior to the service.
