Shirley D. Greene

Newport, - Shirley D. ?Mike? Greene, 71, of 19 Chapel Street Newport, died Saturday, October 26, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. Born in Durham, NC on December 25, 1930, he was the son of the late Frederick and Jean Marie Doyle Greene.Mr. Greene was in the United States Army during the Korean War and with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Police Officer at N.E.T.C. for 10 years. He is survived by two sons Timothy Greene of Newport, RI, and Travis Greene of Tiverton, RI, his step daughter Kendra Lemke of Portsmouth, RI, and two grandchildren. His funeral and burial will be private.Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
