Shirley May Thompson

Newport, - Shirley May Robinson Thompson, 73, of 28 Gould Street, Newport, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of Ezra William Thompson of Newport, Rhode Island, They were married for 53 years. Born in Ashaway, RI on June 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and Cora Alice Gillan Robinson. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and loved crossword puzzels. She is survived by her husband Ezra William Thompson of Newport, RI, three daughters Alice L. Thompson of Newport, RI, Judith Ann Roberts of Raynham, MA, and Shirley May Rayno of Newport, RI, and three brothers Michael Robinson of Cranston, RI, Earnest Robinson of Newport, RI, and Earl Robinson of Cranston, RI, 13 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Ezra W. Thompson. She was also the sister of the late James Greene and Eleanor Botelho. Her funeral and burial will be private.
