Stanley H. Grossman

Middletown, RI - Stanley H. Grossman, 83, of 198 Tuckerman Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the husband of Helen VanAssche Grossman. Born in Newport, RI on November 15, 1924, he was the son of the late Louis and Zelda Podrat Grossman.Mr. Grossman served in the Air Force during World War II. He worked for Polaroid as an Engineer. Mr. Grossman served for 13 years as President of the Middletown Historical Society, with the help of members and friends Paradise Park was created and the Windmill from Portsmouth was restored in the park. Besides his wife Helen of 44 years, he is survived by his brother Harvey Grossman of Santa Barbara, CA.He was the brother of the late Richard Grossman.
