Stanley Walter Drewniak

Portsmouth, RI - Stanley Walter Drewniak, 69, of 84 Longmeadow Road, Portsmouth, RI, formerly of Fall River, MA, died Monday, August 14, 2006, surrounded by his family at his sisters home. He was the former husband of Georgene Drewniak of Fall River, MA. Born in Fall River, MA, on May 24, 1937, he was the son of the late Stanley J. and Myra Skibnowski Drewniak.Mr. Drewniak was a principal mechanical engineer, and worked for Raytheon for more than 20 years, retiring in 2006. He also worked at Ocean Data Equipment. Mr. Drewniak was an avid tennis player, loved to ride motorcycles and was a member of the Dartmouth Indoor Tennis Club. He is survived by his son Sean Peter Drewniak of Newport, RI, his daughter Kimberly Drewniak McGrath and her husband Michael of Dartmouth, MA, his brothers Myron Drewniak of Hampton, VA, and Gary Drewniak of Palm Coast, FL, his sister Dale Drewniak-Raposa of Tiverton, RI and North Hutchinson, FL, his beloved grandchildren Emily McGrath and Sarah McGrath both of Dartmouth, MA, and nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Friday, August 18, 2006, at 9:00AM, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2006, from 4-8pm, in the funeral home.
