Newport, - Stella Tsolas Lewis Fotelis, 92, of 10 Russell Avenue Newport, died Thursday, November 7, 2002 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Constantine Lewis and the late Angelo Fotelis. Born in Lesbos, Greece on May 10, 1910, she was the daughter of the late James and Maria Tsolas.Mrs. Fotelis worked as a seamstress at the uniform shop at the Newport Naval Base and privately out of her home. She was a member of St. Spyridons Church and was a life member of the Philiptuhos Society. She was a former member of the Middletown Senior Center. She is survived by her daughter Mary Lewis-Spampinato of Reddington, FL, two brothers Peter Tsolas of Haverill, MA and Dr. George Solas of Tiverton, RI, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and several nieces and nephews.She was the mother of the late George C. Lewis, and sister of the late Emil Tsolas, Nicholas Tsolas, Michael Tsolas and Anthony Tsolas. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2002, at 11:00AM in St. Spyridons Greek Orthodox Church, 390 Thames Street, Newport. Burial will be in Island Cemetery in Newport.
