Stephanie Erin Lewis

Portsmouth, RI - Stephanie Erin Lewis, 28, of 966 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, February 4, 2002 at Broward General Hospital, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Born in Naples, Italy on Apr. 18, 1973, she was the daughter of James Martin and Lynda Mikki Heathcock Lewis of Portsmouth.Miss Lewis was a 1991 graduate of Middletown High School where she was a cheerleader and a brilliant art student, winning many prestigious awards. She had been a student at URI and also delighted in hosting wonderful gourmet dinner parties for her many friends. She worked in Newports finer restaurants before moving to Florida in September of last year. Stephanies love and enthusiasm for life and her devotion to friends will be greatly missed across many states. Besides her parents she is survived by her brother Sgt. James M Lewis Jr., US Army Special Forces, of Fort Bragg, NC, her sister Amanda Beth Lewis of Portsmouth, RI and her paternal grandmother Margaret S. Lewis of Branford, CT, her godparents Lou and Paulette Gelinou of Agawam, MA and Bradenton, FL and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer Shawn Lewis in 1970. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at 10:00 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a service at 11:00 am in Kings Grant Fellowship, 1000 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be private.
