Steven P. Michaud

Middletown, RI - Steven Paul Michaud, 44, of 11 Squantum Drive, Middletown, RI, died on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the Newport Hospital.He was the husband of Robin Frances Campion Michaud of Middletown. Born in Worcester, MA on September 28, 1965, he was the son of Jo-Anne Murphy Bourque of ME and the late Robert C. Michaud.Mr. Michaud graduated from Kennebunk High School in 1983 and URI in 1992. He was a Senior Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. Steven worked for the division of taxation for the State of Rhode Island. He loved woodworking, sports, gardening and his many pets. He was an active member of Jesus Savior Church in Newport. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his stepsons Douglas A. Paquin, Jr. and Brian James Paquin, four grandchildren, Douglas J. Paquin, Jordan A. Paquin, Kierra L. Paquin and Jaden C. Paquin, his goddaughter Felicity Mitchell and several siblings, two nieces, one nephew and several aunts and uncles. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010, from 4-7pm, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010, at 8:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a mass at 9:00AM, in Jesus Savior Church, Broadway and Vernon Avenue, Newport, RI.
