Sue Ann Lopes

Sue Ann Lopes, 95, formerly of Third Street in Newport and Forest Avenue in Middletown, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center in Newport.Born in Portsmouth, RI on September 15, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Perry Lopes.She is survived by her children, Michael Lopes of Middletown, RI, George T. Mangeritis of Newport, RI, and Susan J Andrade of Middletown, RI; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her siblings, George Lopes of Middletown, RI, Joseph Lopes, Michael Lopes and Mary E. Mello, all of Portsmouth, RI;. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 4-7 pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 9 am from Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Josephs Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport.Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
