Susan Anne Boutin

MIDDLETOWN, RI - Susan A. McBride Boutin, 50, of 8A Bristol Road, Middletown, RI, died Friday, July 1, 2005, at home after a long illness. Born in Springfield, MA on August 8, 1954, she was the daughter of Richard and Marilyn LaBarre McBride of Springfield, MA.Susan attended Our Lady of Sacred Heart Elementary School and was a1972 graduate of Commerce High School both in Springfield, MA. Susan received certifications as a Medical Assistant Secretary, CNA and First Aid Responder.Susan was a very devoted volunteer, offering her services with the Alzheimer?s Association as a caregiver, substitute at Donna Paull Carrettson Memorial Day Care Center, Newport County YMCA, religious education teacher at St. Lucy?s Church, Girl Scouts of RI Leader and VNS Hospice Care of Bristol Newport Counties.Susan was also a member of the Healing Co-Op, a non profit cancer center for women with cancer in Middletown, RI where she often volunteered her services.Susan was involved with her Parish, St. Lucy?s Church in Middletown, RI where she served as a Eucharist Minister. She was also an associate of the Sisters of St. Josephs. Beside her parents, she is survived by her children Eric Boutin of Middletown, RI, Kristina Boutin and Ann Marie Boutin both of Scottsdale, AZ, her brother Richard McBride Jr. of Springfield, MA, and two sisters Mary E. Majkut of Townsend, MA, and Beth Ryan of Chicopee, MA. Susan will be greatly missed by family, friends and all those touched by her caring nature, which was demonstrated so lovingly through her many volunteer activities.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005, from 2-4 and 6-8 in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway Newport.
