Susan M. Wilson

Bristol, Rhode Island - Susan M. Wilson, 61 of Bristol, RI, passed away peacefully after a 16 year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of James E. Wilson and loving mother of Morgan E. Piebes and her husband Randy. Born in Newport, RI February 2, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Helen Hussey Platt. She is survived by brother Michael Platt and his wife Phyllis of Portsmouth, RI and her sister Pat Leverone and her husband Tom of Burlington, MA, also, nephews Shawn and David Platt, Brian Leverone and his wife Stacy, Eric Leverone and niece Debbie Leverone, also, grandnieces Kayla and Kelsey Leverone and Caroline and Ellie Platt. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Kelly Wilson and grandson Benjamin. Sue was a Consumer Education teacher at Thompson Middle School from 1972- 2000. She was a member of the NEA and loved to travel. She was an avid scrapbooker and volunteered for Lucys Hearth for a number of years. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday January 25th at 10:00 am at Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in the Portsmouth Cemetery in Portsmouth. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 24th from 4-8 at the funeral home.
