Portsmouth, RI - Susan Patricia Medeiros Sylvia Souza, 51, of 242 Sprague Street, Portsmouth, RI, formerly of 47 Anson Drive, Portsmouth, died Friday, August 22, 2008, at St. Annes Hospital, Fall River, MA. She was the wife of Ronald Souza. Born in Fall River, MA, on December 10, 1956, she was the daughter of Lorraine Moniz Medeiros Hedger and her husband Vernon of Portsmouth, RI, and the late David Medeiros. Besides her husband, mother, and step father, she is survived by a son Steven R. Souza at home and a daughter Stephanie A. Sylvia of Portsmouth, RI.Mrs. Souza had worked as the vineyard manager for the Sakonnet Vineyards in Little Compton for 18 years. She was a Communicant of St. Anthonys Church in Portsmouth. She enjoyed the theater and loved attending her childrens sporting events.Her funeral will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008, at 9:00 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, in St. Anthonys Church, 2368 East Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial to follow in Trinity Cemetery, East Main Road, Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008, from 4-8 pm in the funeral home.
