Susie Seveney

Susie ?Sue? Wallen Seveney, 79, of 314 Middle Road Portsmouth, died Friday, May 3, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. She was the wife of Harrison Seveney of Portsmouth, for 57 years. Born in Darwin, VA on November 25, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Wallen and the late Margaret Mullins Wallen. Mrs. Seveney was an active member of St. Barnabas Church. She was also a member of the Portsmouth Garden Club. She retired as a supervisor for quality control inspectors at Transcom in Portsmouth in 1987. She is survived by her husband Harrison Seveney of Portsmouth, RI, two sons Wayne Seveney and Bruce Seveney both of Portsmouth, RI, three sisters Opal Salyer of Kingsport, TN, Lillian Ratliff of Bristol, VA, and Tessie Bates of Fall River, MA, and a grandson Timothy Seveney, two granddaughters Kirtley Seveney and Raena Seveney. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, May 8, at 9:00 AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Pocassett Hill Cemetery in Tiverton.
