Sylvia Stingle

Portsmouth, RI - Sylvia Wilkey- Warbuton Stingle, 78, of 13 Martens Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at her daughters home.She was the wife of William P. StingleBorn in Fall River, MA on December 22, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Henry W. and Elizabeth Anthony Wilkey.Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters Robin Mello of Tiverton, RI, Eleanor Correira of Bristol, RI, Ruth Johnson of Tiverton, RI, and Elizabeth Howard of Liberty, SC, her grandchildren, Jonathan and Kathryn Mello of Tiverton, RI and Eliza and Evan Correia of Bristol, RI and many nieces and nephews, and many grandpets. Sylvia is also survived by her sister Anstris Wilkey Garcia of Florida and her brother Peter R. Wilkey of Portsmouth, RI Sylvia was retired from Raytheon Co. of Portsmouth, where she worked in the cable and harness department. Sylvia was also active in the Portsmouth Senior Center Chorus. She was a beloved mother, a wonderful Nana and a lover of cats and her grandpets. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010 from 4-pm to 8pm. in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
