Teckla Barbara Reise

Portsmouth, - Teckla Barbara Gutter Reise, 82, of 17 Thurston Avenue, Portsmouth, died Sunday, June 22, 2003 at home.She was the wife of the late Alfred J. Reise. Born in Fall River, MA on July 10, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anastasia Gutter. Mrs. Reise had worked as a seamstress for 30 years at R.K. Originals, Sunray Curtains, and the Newport Preservation Society, retiring in 1976. She was a Communicant of St. Barnabas Church. Mrs. Reise had also worked as a bookkeeper for Reise Construction Company from 1942-1967. She is survived by a son Anthony E. Reise of Portsmouth, RI, two sisters Stella Lamar of Swansea, MA, and Della Lathrop of Glouster, NJ, and many nieces and nephews.Her funeral will be held Thursday, June 26, 2003 at 9:00 AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Brown?s Lane, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Barnabas Church Building Fund, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
