Portsmouth, RI - Teresa Bodah, 89, of Bristol Ferry Road, Portsmouth, RI, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in North Kingstown, RI. She was the wife of the late William N. Bodah. Born in Portsmouth, RI, on September 8, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rita Alves Grasse.Mrs. Bodah was a 1935 graduate of Rogers High School and was a member of URIs first Master Gardeners Class. She was a bookkeeper for Modern Furniture from 1940 to 1958, retiring after 18 years. Mrs. Bodah was a life long communicant of St. Anthonys Church and was a member of the Catholic Womens Club. She was also a member of the Portsmouth Garden Club. She is survived by her children Matthew M. Bodah and his wife Susan Ryan of Newport, RI, Paula M. Bodah and her husband Alan Izzo of North Kingstown, RI, Timothy S. Bodah of Franklin, MA, and Rev. Henry J. Bodah, Chaplain of the Brown-RISD Catholic Community of Providence, RI, and many nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Hilda Hughes and Josephine Sousa. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 9:00 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, from 4-8 in the funeral home.
