Theodora Gannon

Middletown, - Theodora Ouellette Gannon, 102, of Rogers Lane Middletown, formerly of Park Holm, Newport, died Monday, November 11, 2002 at Crestwood Nursing Convalescent Home Warren, RI. She was the wife of the late Thomas Joseph Gannon. Born in Providence, RI on October 16, 1900, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Perloid Ouellette. Mrs. Gannon had worked as a practical nurse for many years, retiring in 1970. She was one of the orginal organizers, and served as Past President and Secretary of the Middletown Senior Center. She had also served as Past President and Secretary of the Park Holm Senior Center. She was a charter member of the former McKenna-McAllister VFW Post #592 of Providence. She is survived by two sons Thomas Gannon, and Leo Gannon both of California, two daughters, Esther Picano of Smithfield, RI, Margaret Chretien of Portsmouth, RI, Several Grandchildren, several greatgrandchildren and several great great grandchildren.Mrs. Gannon was the mother of the late Robert Gannon and Madeline Gannon. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2002, at 8:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to the Crestwood Nursing and Convalescent Home Activities Fund, 568 Child Street, Warren, RI 02885.
