Theodore Smith Hudson Jr

Tiverton, RI - Theodore Smith Hudson, Jr., 64, of 500 Bulgarmarsh Road Tiverton, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, died Sunday, February 27, 2005 at home.He was the husband of Susan J. Carter Hudson. Born in Newport, RI on September 10, 1940, he was the son of the late Theodore Smith Hudson Sr. and Evelyn ONeil HudsonMr. Hudson had worked for Newport Ford as a mechanic and then he had been the manager for Tom Rodrigues Gas Station in Middletown. He had also driven tow trucks as well. Mr. Hudson owned and operated Teds Arco which was the former Teds Atlantic Gas Station in Middletown for many years. He was a former member of the Redman Club of Newport and enjoyed ceramics, woodworking and his family. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Theodore Hudson III and his daughter Evelyn Hudson Gomes both of Tiverton, RI, his stepson Patrick Thomspon of Brownsburg, IN, his sister Barbara LaChance of Portsmouth, RI, six grandchildren two great grandchildren.His services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2005, at 11:00AM in theMemorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Island Cemetery in Newport.
