Middletown, RI ? Theresa ?Honey? Arruda Wells, 78, of 47 Center Avenue Middletown, formerly of Little Compton, RI, died Thursday, February 3, 2005 at home.She was the wife of the late Malcolm I. Wells. Born in Little Compton, RI on July 9, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary Virdinlia Arruda. Mrs. Wells was the supervisor of housekeeping at Salve Regina University until her retirement in 1990. She was very active with Salvation Army, cooking at the Soup Kitchen for the last 10 years. Mrs. Wells participated in the Chowder Cookoff for two years on behalf of the Salvation Army. She was a parishoner of St. Lucys Church since its inception in the 1950s. She is survived by two sons Dana Wells of Dighton, MA, and David Wells of Little Compton, RI, her daughter Nancy Beye of Jamestown, RI, two brothers George Arruda of Fall River, MA, and Anthony Arruda of Little Compton, RI, her sister Agnes Golembeske of Little Compton, RI, and six grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Manuel Arruda, Francis Arruda, James Arruda, John Arruda, Joseph Arruda, Louis Arruda, Mary Gomes, Evangeline Fegundes and Josephine Boudle.Her funeral will be held on Monday, February 7, 2005, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in Our Lady Of Fatima Cemetery, in Little Compton, RI.
