Middletown, RI- Theresa Silva Rodrigues, 70, of 25 Seascape Avenue, Middletown, RI died Monday, August 27, 2007, at Brigham and Women?s Hospital in Boston, MAShe was the wife of John E. RodriguesBorn in Fayal, the Azores, on March 10, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Jezuina Rodrigues Silva.Mrs. Rodrigues moved to the United States in 1959 at the age of 23. She worked at Salve Regina University for 20 years as a housekeeper. Theresa was a member of Jesus Saviour church and was a 25 year member of the Corpus Christi Third Order Carmelites.She is survived by her children, Steven Rodrigues of Dighton, MA, Christina Rodrigues of Middletown, RI, Diana McKenna and her husband Raymond of Middletown, Christopher Rodrigues and his wife Kristy of Middletown, and Michael Rodrigues of Middletown; her brothers Americo Silva of Providence, RI, and Mario Silva of Middletown, RI, her sister Maria Ferrerira of Newport, RI; her grandchildren, Nicholas Rodrigues, Kaitlin McKenna, Julia McKenna, Ryan McKenna, Julia Rodrigues, Benjamin Rodrigues, Joshua McKenna, Alexander Rodrigues and many nieces and nephews that she loved. She was the sister of the late Lucy Rodrigues and the late Joseph Silva. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at 8:00 a.m., from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m., in Jesus Saviour Church, corner of Broadway and Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will take place in St. Columba Cemetery, Brown?s Lane, Middletown. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 31, 2007, from 4-7 p.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home.
