Theresa V. Johnson

Portsmouth, RI - Theresa Virginia Lewis Johnson, 96, of 437 Jepson Lane, Portsmouth, RI, died Saturday, October 23, 2010 at home with her family.She was the wife of the late William Arthur Johnson. Born in Brunswick, MD on February 2, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Edna Thompson Lewis.Mrs. Johnson was a member of Methodist Church of Brunswick. She is survived by her children, William A. Johnson of IL, and Ann Lorelei Peckham of Portsmouth, RI, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Frances Virginia Gelmarten and the sister of the late Douglas Lewis, Harry L. Lewis and Lee Lewis. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at 7 pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, Rhode Island.Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland.
