Boca Raton, FL - Thomas J. Camara, 54, of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, died unexpectedly Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at home.He was the husband of Nora Pena Camara. Born in Newport, RI on June 14, 1949, he was the son of Rose Lima Camara of Portsmouth, RI and the late William P. Camara. Before moving to Florida, Mr. Camara was a Portsmouth Firefighter, President of the Firefighters Local 1949, and President of the Portsmouth Portuguese American Citizens Club.He was the superintendent of security and maintenance for Dania Jai Lai in Florida. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his daughter Kimberly Camara of FL, two stepsons Daniel Ayala and Nicolas Caspro both of Boca Raton, FL, four sisters Rosemary Szczepaniak, Evelyn M. Correia and Eleanor Borges all of Portsmouth, RI and Fannie Topazio of Bristol, RI, five brothers William P. Camara, Stephen Camara, and Lawrence P. Camara all of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, George S. Camara of Daytona Beach, FL and Joseph P. Camara of Portsmouth, RI, one granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Daniel Camara, Alfred Camara, Theresa Peyton and Lucille Perry.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2003, at 9:00AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
