Thomas James Hunt, of Portsmouth, died on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at home with his loved ones by his side.He was the beloved husband of Elaine F. (Doran) HuntTom was born May 24, 1942 in Providence, RI the son of the late Thomas James Hunt and Edith Levine and stepson of the late Laura (Lima) Hunt. Mr. Hunt was a graduate of Providence College and New England School of Law. He practiced Admiralty Law in Boston and New Bedford. Mr. Hunt was a member of the Boston Bar Association, the Bristol County Bar Association and the American Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Tom was the loving father to Thomas J. Hunt III, MD and his wife Kathryn of Las Vegas, NV, Edith R. Gaskill and her husband Timothy of Rome, Georgia, David J. of Providence, RI, Loralie of Easton, MA, Gregory of Norwalk, CT, Matthew R. of Belfast N. Ireland, Brittany E. and Nicholas T. both of Portsmouth, RI. He was also the much loved grandfather of seven. Calling hours will be held on, Friday, September 14, from 4-8pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 10:00am, in Portsmouth Abbey, 285 Coreys Lane, Portsmouth, RI.Burial will be private.
