Thomas M. Mac Neil

Thomas M. Mac Neil, 82, of Middletown passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011, at home with his family by his side.He was the husband of Constance M. Fesmire Mac Neil.Born in Bangor, ME on March 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Joseph G. and Marion McLaughlin Mac Neil.Besides his wife of 58 years he leaves two sons Thomas M. and his wife Shelby Marti MacNeil of Ivoryton, CT and Joseph P. MacNeil of Middletown. He was the brother of Joseph G. and his wife Claudette McNeil, Mary and her husband Norman Clevette, John McNeil and William and his wife Constance MacNeil. He was the grandfather of Stephen, William, Jeffrey and Mary. Tom also leaves his close family friend Paul Giguere and his beloved dog Grady.A memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 11:00 am in St. Lucy Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Calling hours are omitted.Donations in his memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871 or to the Robert Potter League for Animals, PO Box 412, Newport, RI 02840.
