Thomas Paul Raffa

Middletown, RI - Thomas Paul Raffa, 88, of 44 Bliss Mine Road, Middletown, RI, died Thursday, July 6, 2006, at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. He was the husband of Roberta Diggles Raffa. Born in Providence, RI, on October 16, 1917, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Concettina Imbruglia Raffa.Mr. Raffa graduated from Rogers High School class of 1936. He was the owner of Raffa Construction Company and he was also a successful Real Estate Agent. Besides his wife of 35 years, he is survived by his sons Thomas P. Raffa Jr. and Salvatore T. Raffa both of Newport, RI, his daughter Carol R. Anderson of Denver, CO, his brother Anthony Raffa of Middletown, RI, his sister Nancy Amaral of Newport, RI, ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Russell Raffa, the husband of the late Ruth Judge Raffa and Agnes Bland Raffa and the brother of the late Samuel Raffa. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at 8:00a.m. from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00a.m., in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport. Burial will be private.
