Middletown - Thomas "Tommy" Edward, Beebe, 68, of 40 Allston Avenue, Middletown, RI and 20 Barry Road, Fryeburg, ME died Friday, December 11, 2015, at John Clarke Nursing Center, Middletown, RI. He was born in Newport on March 16, 1947, to the late Chester W. and Eleanor M. (Rodda) Beebe.Tommy attended and worked at the Maher Center for 45 years retiring 5 years ago. He loved going to the center to be with all of his friends, and especially liked attending their dances. He also loved to dance at all the weddings and other functions he attended with his family. He was a proud participant in the Special Olympics and won several medals for bowling. He also enjoyed the times he spent on Lovewell Pond in Fryeburg, ME. Whenever he entered a room, he would light it up with his smile. Tommy truly enjoyed living with his niece, Christie (Vano-Donald) and her children Mykaila, Derek, Dakota and Autumn Migliori at 40 Allston Avenue for the last 20 years.Tommy is survived by his sister, Beverly J. Lawton, his brothers, retired Police Chief John C. Beebe, III (Ada), Robert A. Beebe, Sr. (Barbara) and sister-in-law Donna R. Beebe; seventeen nephews and nieces, John, Jeffrey and Jennifer Lawton; John, Wayne, Laurie and Christie Beebe; Kelly, Robbie and Robert Beebe; Mark, Tracy, Todd and Scott Beebe and William, Johnathon and Michael Smith, as well as several great and great great nephews and nieces.He was preceded in death by his brother Chester (Pete) W. Beebe, Jr. and his nephew Brian and niece Karen Beebe.Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015, from 4:00-7:00pm, at the Hambly Funeral Home, "Brick House", 30 Red Cross Avenue, Newport.His funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 10:00am, at Trinity Church, Queen Anne Square, Newport. His burial will follow at the Middletown "Four Corners" Cemetery, Turner and Wyatt Roads, Middletown.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tommy's name to the James L.
