Newport, - Thomas W. ?Fox? Donnelly, 67, of 8 Stockholm Street Newport, died Monday, July 14, 2003 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.He was the husband of Joanne Dias Donnelly. Born in Newport, RI on March 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Humphrey J. and Edna Winters Donnelly.Mr. Donnelly worked as a Supervisor at Raytheon for 35 years until his retirement in 1995. He was a 1954 graduate of De La Salle. Mr. Donnelly was a member of the Museum of Newport Irish History, and past president of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Fox played for Finns Variety the amateur basketball team in Newport and he caddyed at the Newport Country Club as a youth and was part of the commertive bench on Harrison Avenue. He was a crossword puzzle enthusiast. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Thomas W. Donnelly of Middletown, RI, and Timothy W. Donnelly of Newport, RI, his daughter Tara W. Donnelly of Newport, RI, four brothers Donald Donnelly of Middletown, RI, Michael Donnelly of Newport, RI, Francis Donnelly of Middletown, RI, and Brian Donnelly of Portsmouth, RI, and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Humphrey ?Harp? Donnelly, Jack Donnelly, Lorraine Lewis and Diane Colella.His funeral will be held on Friday, July 18, 2003, at 9:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am in St. Augustins Church, Carroll Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
