Tommy Price

Newport, - Tommy Price, 95, of 398 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, formerly of Alexander City, Alabama, died Friday, September 20, 2002, at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center in Newport, RI. Born in Tallapoosa County, AL on April 17, 1907, he was the son of the late William and Jeannette Smith Price. Mr. Price worked as a barber for many years in Alabama, before moving to Rhode Island in 1990. Mr. Price enjoyed reading the Bible, which he knew very well. He also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter Shirley Cherry of Middletown, RI, three grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.Funeral arrangements will be private.
