Vance Steven Young

Middletown, - Vance Steven Young, 50, of 223 Purgatory Road, Middletown, formerly of 248 Broadway, Newport, died Friday, February 7, 2003 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. Born in New York City, NY, on January 16, 1953, he was the son of Betty Piper Youngn of Seattle, WA the late William J. Young.Mr. Young had worked as a landscaper and worked with his brother for many years at Broadway Shoe Repair in Newport. He was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his mother Betty Young of Seattle, WA and four brothers William Young of Newport, RI, Carl Young andGregory Young both of Seattle, WA, and Richard Young of Oakland, CA, two sisters Kathleen Malaxos of Margaretsville, NY, and Deborah Young of Seattle, WA, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Steven Young. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 7:30PM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Burial will be private.
