Vera Barbara Nascimento

Portsmouth, - Vera Barbara Brodska Nascimento, 88, of 906 Anthony Road Portsmouth, died Saturday, June 7, 2003 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Alfred M. Nascimento. Born in Fall River, MA on September 2, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Eudoka DuBanevich. Mrs. Nascimento was a homemaker. Mrs. Nascimento was one of the founding members of the Portsmouth Womens Democratic Town Committee and served as its president. She was also a member of the Womens Democratic State Committee for 23 years. She is survived by her son Richard A. Nascimento of Newport, RI, her brother John Dubanovich of Fall River, MA, two sisters Lucy Lennon of Princeton, NJ, and Nancy Fisette of Dallas, TX, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at 11:00AM, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
