Vida Mae Recupero

Vida Mae Recupero, 89, of Portsmouth died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Newport Hospital in Newport, RI. Mrs. Recupero was born May 28, 1923 in Millerville, AL, she was the daughter of the late John William and the late Eula (Clark) Phillips. She and her husband Philip Recupero were married for 66years. She worked for Hodges and Badge Co. for many years. Vida loved gardening, crocheting, and was a wonderful cook. She loved her family dearly, and loved spending time with them. She was a terrific homemaker. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, John Recupero and his wife Gay, of North Kingstown, RI, Anthony Recupero and his wife Colette, of Warwick, RI, Paul Recupero of Portsmouth, RI, and Janet Lawrence and her husband Paul of Providence, RI, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on, Tuesday October 16, 2012, from 10:00-12:00 in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm at Calvary United Methodist Church, 200 Turner Road, Middletown, RI. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park, 123 Howland Ave Middletown, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.
