Virginia Anne (Wright) Bennett Trautwein, 85, of Marietta, GA and Portsmouth, RI passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Newport Hospital of Newport, RI.Ginny was the wife of Victor R. Trautwein of Marietta and Portsmouth. She was the wife of the late Rip Bennett.Born in Boston, MA on March 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Richard A. and Evelyn (Beers) Wright. She leaves five brothers Dick, Paul, Bob, Harry and Tom. She also leaves twelve nieces and nephews, twenty-four great nieces and nephews plus a host of wonderful friends world wide.Ginny lived in Massachusetts, Vermont, Ohio, Florida, Georgia and Rhode Island at various times in her life. She graduated from Hyde Park High and Burdett Business College and was a straight A student at both. From the time she attended junior high school, she was a participating member of church committees, groups and many charitable organizations becoming either president or chairperson of each. She was a member of the United Congregational Church in Middletown.Her Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11:00AM in the United Congregational Church, 524 Valley Road, Middletown, RI.Donations may be made to her favorite charities: National Resources Defense Council, 40 W. 20th Street, New York, NY 10114-0466 - This group will help prolong the future lives of people, animals and nature in the U.S. and on our planet.
