Portsmouth, RI - Vittorio Albini, of 56 King Charles Drive, Portsmouth, RI, died at his home on Feb. 1, 2009, at 3:20 AM.Husband to Ilda Longo Albini, Mr. Albini was born on September 25, 1931 in Pontelandolfo, Italy, to the late Rocco and Orazia Ciarlo Albini. He and his family immigrated to Waterbury, Connecticut on September 4, 1971. Vittorio Vito worked as a machinist until he retired from American Electro Products in 1996. He and his wife moved to Portsmouth, RI in July 2002, to live with their daughter, Rosetta, and her family, where he continued to enjoy gardening and the outdoors. He leaves behind his loving wife after 53 years of marriage, two daughters; Orazia Perugini, wife of Pietro Perugini of Pontelandolfo, Italy, and Rosetta Izzi, wife of Giuseppe Izzi of Portsmouth, RI; a sister, Antonietta Albini, wife of the late Michele Longo, lives in Argentina; a sister-in-law, Chiarina, wife of Giuseppe Perugini from Waterbury, CT.; a granddaughter, Maria Vittoria, wife of Giuseppe DAddona of Fragneto Monforte, Italy; grandson Angelo Perugini of Pontelandolfo, Italy; granddaughters Annamaria, Laura, and Marina Izzi of Portsmouth, RI; and great-grandson, Pietro DAddona, and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 5th, at 10 oclock from Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00am in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will take place in Newport Memorial Park, Vaucluse Avenue, Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 4th from 4PM to 8PM in the funeral home
