Wayne Wallace

Newport, RI - Wayne Wally Wallace, 65, of 90 Girard Avenue, Newport, RI, died Friday, September 11, 2009 at home. Born in New York, NY on June 12, 1944, he was the son of the late Walter and Mae OConnor Wallace and brother of the late Nancy Cassidy.Mr. Wallace served in the United States Navy. Wally worked in the maintenance department as an engineer for the Marriot Hotel. He was a member of the Middletown VFW, the Free Masons and the Fleet Reserve. He loved watching movies of all kinds and he also loved spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his sons Timothy Wallace of Newport, RI and David Wallace of Middletown, RI, his daughter Tammy Hayes of West Palm Beach, FL, his brothers Raymond OConnor and Walter Wallace, his aunt Eileen OConnor and his grandchildren, Justin Hayes, Erin Hayes, Timothy Wallace, Dylan Wallace and Erica Platt.A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2009, at 9:00am, in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2009, from 6-8, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be private.
