Wilbert Brown Newport, RI - Wilbert Brown, 48, of 171 Broadway, Newport, RI, died Friday, January 12, 2007, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the husband of Rhonda Chisman Brown. Born in New Orleans, LA, on June 16, 1958, he was the son of Alice Coleman Brown of California, and the late Frank Brown Jr.Mr. Brown was raised in California and moved to Newport 15 years ago. He had worked for many years as a painter, having painted many of the storefronts in Newport. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Trisha Brown of California, a brother Charles Brown of California, a step daughter Tracey Metts and her husband Harold of Lawrenceville, GA, two step sons Kevin Chisman of Lawrenceville, GA, and Levelle Chisman of Providnece, RI, and six grandchildren Kani Harris, Javelle Chisman, Kiara Metts, Kendall Metts, Kayla Metts, and Kayla Santos. Funeral services and burial will be private.
