Narragansett, RI - William Elliot Drake, a Narragansett, RI resident died on Wednesday, August 24th. He was 57. Will, was born on December 17, 1952, the son of Paul Luke of Phoenix, AZ and Susan Jordan of Norwalk, CT. Following graduation from McMahon High School in 1970, he served in the United States Navy. A Master Jeweler one of the last of his kind. He dedicated his life to creating exquisite fine jewelry for his worldwide clientele. Will spent the last decade honing his craft at one of Newports refined jewlery store and showroom, Three Golden Apples located on Bellevue Avenue. Will had a love of nature and a passion for sharing his spiritual findings and beliefs. He always found the positive in every situation and was always there to lend a helping hand. Will had a tremendous dedication for his life long metal work as well as helping those in need. He volunteered his time and talent to travel to Africa in 2009. He along with several other volunteers taught the community how to prosper off of their natural resources, a rare African water pearl. Will had recently started his own line of spiritual healing jewelry in which he had dreamed would live on to benefit those less fortunate than himself. He is survived by his wife, Judy Drake; his two daughters, Rebecca Held of Kings Park, NY and Melissa Quintal of Portsmouth, RI; and step daughter Jacqulyn Stewart and two grandchildren Hunter and Addison Held. Will now resides with his three siblings; Steve Drake, Linda Hegedus and Scott Drake.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home; 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31st, from 3-7 p.m. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held during visiting hours at 6pm.
