William Earl Tuttle

William E. Bill Tuttle, Jr., 64, of Middletown, died on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at RI Hospital in Providence. Born in Newport, RI on February 13, 1948, he was the son of the late William E. and Grace L. (Flanders) Tuttle. Bill was a US Air Force veteran and was employed with the Newport Housing Authority before retiring. He was a member of Friends Evangelical Church in Middletown. Bill was an avid sports fan, especially baseball, and was a former Little League coach. He loved nothing more than his children and family. He was the loving father of Gregory R. Tuttle of Newport, RI and Diana M. Tuttle of Middletown, RI; and the brother of Grace L. Homen of Newport, RI, Barbara Fales of Hillsborough, NH, Jane M. Clarke of Portsmouth, RI, Michael A. Tuttle of Westboro, MA, Peter A. Tuttle of Newport, RI and the late Donald J. Sullivan. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 9 am from Memorial Funeral Home with a funeral service at 10 am in Friends Evangelical Church, 70 Bliss Mine Road, Middletown. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Newport Memorial Park, Middletown.
