William F. Benisch II, 56, of Broadway, Newport, RI, died on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at RI Hospital in Providence.Born in Newport, RI on June 24, 1957, he was the son of William F. and Dorothy H. (Del Nero) Benisch of Newport, RI.Billy was a dry cleaner at Del Nero Cleaners for over 38 years. He was a graduate of Rogers High School in Newport. Prior to illness, Billy was an avid gardener, loved animals and music. He especially loved his grandchildren.He is survived by his two daughters, Selene Benisch of Bristol, RI and Kayla Benisch of Newport, RI; his step-daughter, Shannon Edwards of Middletown, RI; his siblings, Cynthia Saez and her husband, Ismael, of Florida, David Benisch of Florida, Thomas Benisch and his wife, Dawn, of Newport, RI, Susan Morgan and her husband, Paul, of Portsmouth, RI and Michael Benisch of Newport, RI; his former wife and dear friend and care giver, Clayre Edwards of Middletown, RI; Georgetta Mosher, mother of Kayla and Selene, of Newport, RI; his grandchildren, Alanna, Laila, Jordan and Savannah; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Benisch.Visitation with the family will be held Friday, June 27, 2014 from 11 am to 12 noon in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. A memorial service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home.
