William Rebello

Portsmouth, RI - William "Bill" Rebello, 76, of Portsmouth, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Born March 15, 1937, in Fall River, MA, to the late Manuel and the late Lillian (Simons) Rebello, he was the husband of Mary Jane (Sousa) Rebello for 46 years.Bill served proudly in the U.S. Army and later the National Guard. He worked in the grocery industry for over 40 years, first for Stop Shop, and later for Clement's Market.Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons; William Rebello, Jr. of Attleboro, MA, and Christopher Rebello of Darien, CT; two brothers, James Rebello of Swansea, MA, and Manuel Rebello of Taunton, MA; two sisters, Veronica Soares of Somerset, MA, and Bertha Pontes of Georgia; and two grandsons, Connor W. Rebello and Colin J. Rebello, both of Darien, CT.His funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 9:00am, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, followed by a mass at 10:00am, in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
