Wilma G. Sandvig

Newport, RI - Wilma G. Brakke Sandvig, 96, of Village House, Newport, formerly of Thief River Falls, MN, died on January 26, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Gerald Sandvig and her siblings, Arlie Blow of Tucson, AZ and Leonard Brakke of Milbank, SD. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church. An avid and fearless bridge player, she belonged to The Edward King House and the Ft. Adams Bridge Clubs. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church Sewing Club. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Kay Crane and Jean Louise Olds both of Newport, her son Stanley Jerry Sandvig, Jr. of Tiverton, and her sister Lola Roberts of Milwaukee, WI. She had seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.A memorial service will be held on January 31, 2011, at 11:00AM in St. Peters Lutheran Church, 525 Broadway, Newport.In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the James L.
