Middletown, RI - Winifred May Jacome, 72, of 3 Rosedale Terrace, Middletown, RI, died on Monday, September 27, 2010 at John Clarke Health Care Center, Middletown, RI.She was the wife of Alfred J. Jacome. Born in Newport, RI on May 26, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Bert and Hattie Potter Kelly.Mrs. Jacome worked as a Librarian for the Navy Hospital for 29 years, retiring in 2008. She enjoyed puzzles, camping and R-Ving. Besides her husband of 52 years, she is survived by her children, Alfred Jacome, Jr. of North Kingstown, RI, Bert Jacome of Chelsea, AL, Jay Jacome of Middletown, RI, Pam Gould of Middletown, RI, and Tammy Francis of The Villages, FL, her sister Dorothy Kelly of New Mexico, her grandchildren, Michael Gould of Middletown, RI, Christopher Francis of Portsmouth, RI, and Alex Gould of Middletown, RI, and her step grandchildren, Cameron Harris, and Corey Rodrigues.She was the sister of the late Beverly Depalma.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010, from 11am-1pm in the Hambly Funeral Home Brick House, 30 Red Cross Avenue, Newport, RI. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010, at 1:00pm in the funeral home.Burial will be private.
