Yvonne Dube

Portsmouth, RI - Yvonne Belanger Dube, 84, of Alan Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Dube. Born in Fall River, MA on October 21, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Emma Potvin Belanger.Mrs. Dube was a member of St. Anthonys Church in Portsmouth. She enjoyed golfing and bowling on many leagues with her late husband. Always an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, she also enjoyed playing Bingo and watching her grandsons in various sporting events. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Southworth and her husband Glenn of Jamestown, RI, her siblings, Emma Nunes of Fall River, MA, Dorothy Wyka of Swansea, MA, Roland Belanger of Fall River, MA, Raymond Belanger of Tiverton, RI, Theresa Gagliastre of Smithfield, RI, her grandsons, Ryan Southworth and Adam Southworth, both of Jamestown, RI, many nieces and nephews and many beloved friends including the wonderful staff at the Grand Islander Nursing Home in Middletown.She was the sister of the late Eugene Belanger and Doris Sands. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 9 am from Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River, MA.Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 18, 2008 from 5-8 pm in the funeral home.
